My wife attended your event in Waukesha this past year and observed an all black Airedale.  It is my understanding that the breeder was from IL maybe.  I am hoping that someone might have a picture of one and could put me in touch with that breeder.  Thanks for your help.

The American Kennel Club does not reconize Black Airedales and they can not be registered with the AKC.  There has never been an all black dog in the ancestory of Airedales, hence there can not be any Black Airedale Terriers.  These all black dogs are simply another designer (mixed breed) dog.  There is only one standard for Airedale Terriers.

Please read the standard at:  http://www.akc.org/breeds/airedale_terrier/ ;

Thanks,  I did not see this dog and felt that this was odd.  I am so glad that you provided me with a link to the AKC standards for Airedales so I can educate myself better.
